Addressing African American Health in the Age of COVID-19

African Americans are experiencing some of the greatest healthcare challenges of our time. Since our launch in 2012, we have worked to educate and uplift the African American community with health and wellness information that empowers. We have also created a call to action in which #BlackHealthMatters has been proclaimed more than 100,000+ times, on Instagram alone.

The Black Health Matters Virtual Summit was created for African American families committed to living their healthiest life by educating themselves. With knowledge comes understanding and with understanding, action! We always persevere, whatever the obstacles. This is the time to reaffirm that our health matters.

Join us, ask questions, share your concerns with others who care about what is important to you, and your health, at the largest, most important wellness forums created for African Americans. You’ll meet physicians, scientists and those who advocate for equity in all areas of health. Your attendance, along with our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and friends will demonstrate that our time is now, because #BlackHealthMatters!

Frequently Asked Questions

COVID-19 has altered every sector of life for Americans. We had planned to host the 4th Black Health Matters Summit on March 14th at Riverside Church. Due to concerns for the safety of attendees, we have decided to go virtual. This means that we can bring our focus on health and chronic disease management to a larger audience.
We have planned the same high quality program featuring world-class experts on African American health. We have 10+ sessions planned that focus on living your healthiest life in the age of COVID-19. You will be able to chat with our experts online. You’ll be able to send them questions. In addition to chatting with the presenters, we feature an exhibit hall. There, you can receive information from the supporters of the Summit. You are able to chat with them as well.
As an attendee, you will have a virtual briefcase. Our exhibitors will share brochures and other literature with you that you may download.
